Perkasie Trolley Tunnel Beautification Project

Meghan Kennedy adds some detail to the new mural, part of the beautification project she's doing at the Perkasie Trolley Tunnel as her Girl Scout's Silver Award project.

Perkasie Trolley Tunnel at Walnut & 7th Streets

It’s exciting to see what’s happening at Walnut & Seventh Streets at the old trolley tunnel. For years it’s attracted mainly graffiti and trash, but now it’s getting a whole new facelift, thanks to Perkasie resident Meghan Kennedy. She has made the beautification of the tunnel her Girl Scout Silver Award project. Lots of people are helping her on this major project, from Borough personnel to the Lions Club and several local businesses, plus other Scouts, both Boys and Girls.

The photo above shows Meghan at work on the main mural inside the tunnel, adding some detail to the trolley picture. I expect to post more photos here as the work progresses the next couple of weeks. It’s scheduled to be completed in early September.
